My Time in AFA 2011

Sorry for not posting for weeks. I was busy as soon as I got back from AFA. Now that I have slight free time, I figured I should update my blog.

----------

11 November 2011

The day to see Vocaloid live was finally here. I arrived some time around 12 PM, Singapore time. The flight wasn't all that jazz, but watching Shakugan no Shana Season 1 made the flight passed seem quite fast. So, I arrived at 12 PM Singapore time, my plane landed on Terminal 2, immediately went to the restroom to pee and right after that, I made my way to get my luggage. After all that, I had an acquantence picked me up and dropped me at the hotel I was staying. He's a good man, made some sex jokes on the car. And so, I thanked him for the ride, and made my way to the reception counter. I tried checking in, but some fags were still in the room and stuff, so well, I deposited my luggage and then the receptionist gave me a lounge access card. Rather than lounging, I went to City Hall Mall, which is pretty much next door to the hotel I was staying at. Walked around for a bit to look for Suntec until I felt lost, made my way back to the entrance though. Luckily, I saw a SISTIC Ticketing Office, and immediately the receptionist for my AniSong tickets. Yay.

Long story short, I walked around again, got lost, asked a few people for directions and finally made it to Suntec. AND OH GOD. HEAVEN WAS ON SIGHT. Fellow proud otakus, cosplayers, and more. THIS IS MY PLACE. Looked around the place for a bit, and it seemed that the Exhibition wasn't open yet. So, not knowing anything, I didn't pick up the redemption items that I could get for getting VIP tickets. Boo...

Hungry as I am, I made my way back to the first floor and had some good Hainanese chicken rice, then bought some drinks from the drink stand from two stingy old Chinese hags. They told me my money was fake and crap. Gave her another dolar and it was all fine. After all that, I went back to the hotel to take a shower. And unfortunately, the fags weren't done yet and yadda yadda, got another room yadda yadda. Got my room, took a hot bath, got dressed and marched right back to Suntec.

Long queue was long, even though I didn't have to queue that long. /:
Got some merchadise after I realized that I had been queueing for nothing. 2 Miku t-shirts and a Miku wallet strap/chain thing.

AND THEN. THE CONCERT. WHICH WAS UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME AS HELL, OH GOD, I WAS LOST IN HEAVEN.

The List:

MELT /Supercell feat. Hatsune Miku

Right after Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru, which Miku said to be the last song, there was an interval. During that time, I'm sure everyone was as tired as I am from all the shouting, cheering, and jumping. But heck, we kept shouting "MIKU" over and over until the band returned from backstage and played Uta ni Katachi wa Nai Keredo. Oh God, you guys should've seen how Miku looked like, dat wedding dress mang. And then the concert ended with MELT. WHICH WAS FANTASTIC AS HELL YET AGAIN. I melted, I melted.

The fans!

And so, AFA 11 November 2011 came to a close.

AFA 12 November 2011

Woke up sometime around 8 AM, did things and such, ate some ribs around 12 PM, and went to the Exhibition that was open on that day!

Near the entrance:

The Exhibition ticketing office:

Note: the photos I took are somewhat in a horrible quality, so please, forgive me. >_<

These guys were in front of the Exhibition's entrance, I took a shot from a pretty far place, I had to use my phone's zoom, which is horrible. ;_;

I guess not that bad but, I still could've gotten a better photo. This is one of the times that I wished I had an SLR camera. /:

...and I still do.

More cosplayers!

Here's Alisa from God Eater or Gods Eater.

Yuna and Garnet from Final Fantasy series.

Magnet Miku and Luka.

Aria from Hiidan no Aria. She's somewhat my favourite because she actually posed for me~

The Append version.

The Nendos.

And that's that.

Moving on, Gundams.

So, enough about Gundams. Moving on...

Now, for some NicoNico stuff.

Dunno who those trio are.

I was also behind Madoka.

The Mami cosplayer beside Homura is actually a dude. Yes, a dude. OTOKO.

There also the Super Sonico group from Japan, but uh, I didn't take a picture of them, I have a video for both the Madoka team and Sonico, but hell, I'm too lazy to upload them.

Also guys,

See the guy holding the phone, between the Battlefiend cosplayer and Haruhi cosplayer? That's me. \D

All right, moving on, a few moments before the concert...

MOE MOE KYUN MAID CAFE. I didn't go there though, or well, I could be late for the concert.

There's also a butler cafe, but, I'm a dude with a maid fetish...so yeah. Anyway, that's about it I guess, sorry for the really late entry and all. Thanks guys, later. ^_^

Fate/Zero's Saber Figma and the New Millhiore F. Biscotti Figure

Well guys, there they are. Fate/Zero's Saber figma by Max Factory in the smexy suit and a new Millhiore Figure by Griffin Enterprises, not the one that's due in December 2011 and not the Nendoroid.

Here's Saber!

She comes with everything you just saw and she's compatible with some other figmas.

The new Millhiore Figure!

Which I say, captures her true expression more deeply than the old one.
Here's the old one, if some of you were wondering.

So, I guess that sums it all up. I didn't forget, by the way. Fate/Zero Saber is due in March 2012 and Millhiore is due in April 2012.

Guilty Crown Review

So, I came across a picture of Yuzuriha Inori, and well, I was immediately interested about her and the anime.

Goddamn, that's one mighty fine chick. Inori here is from the anime 'Guilty Crown' as the title of this article stated. I tried watching the anime and simply fell in love with it.

Guilty Crown's plot:
"After the outbreak of the unidentified virus “Lost Christmas” in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power “Ability of King” to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called “Undertaker”, whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government."

Ouma Shu is somewhat an insignificant kind-of guy, he's in some video editing club made by his friend, which I can't seem to remember his name. One day, he met Inori in his secret abandon building, Inori was singing a song, which surprised Shu, for he is a fan of Inori. In Guilty Crown, Inori is known as an internet sensation vocalist from the band 'EGOIST'. Well, if you guys want to know more, you better watch it. Because, it's THAT good. Though there are some cynics on the net...those fags.

The story is great so far, I'm loving every single moment of it. And guys, the music is amazing. The OP is done by ryo(Supercell) and the song is called "My Dearest". I've been listening to it since yesterday and it is still stuck on repeat.

The song:

Awesome? Yes.

Ikoku Meiro No Croisée Nendoroid Set

I think I'm going to drop the whole 'figure watch' and other titles, because I'm simply too lazy.

Anyway, my whining aside, here's Ikoku Meiro No Croisée Nendoroid Set!

I'm not a big fan of it, but hey, anything Moe is always good in my book. The set consist of Yune, Claude, and Alice and it'll be available sometime in April 2012. And the pre-orders are up.

Figure Watch #4 "Towa Erio Complete Figure [FREEing]"

ERIIIIOOOOOOO! <3
I just realized that this came out on the net two days ago. Damn, I was late.

I like the how the figure came out, it's just that her mouth seems kinda off for me. Hopefully the final product will be even better! This version of  Erio figure can be pre-ordered from AmiAmi and Play-Asia. Also, she's to be released some time on late February 2012.

Figure Watch #3 "Hatsune Miku HSP Version"

Here we go, Hatsune Miku Figure HSP Version from Kanzaki Hiro's illustration. He's also known as “Hanasoumen-P”.

Here's the illustration if some of you were wondering.

Pretty moe, I'd say. The figure is set to be released in March 2012 thanks to Max Factory. And she's also pre-orderable from JLIST.
